HLP Therapy & Support offers warm and practical counseling with expertise in pregnancy loss, miscarriage, infertility, pregnancy, postpartum, grief, and anxiety.
Whether you are trying to conceive, coping with grief and loss, undergoing fertility treatment, navigating perinatal mood and anxiety changes, or simply trying to stay afloat with life's current stressors, you deserve high-quality care and personalized support.
THIS IS HARDER THAN YOU THOUGHT IT’D BE
You need space to process
You’re realizing you need room to process all this. You need an opportunity to release some of the build up - the pressure, the anxiety, the sadness. Maybe you just want a chance to slow down and reflect…to find some clarity or learn something new. And you deserve it. You do so much for others, but you need a space for you.
You need support facing this
Your old coping mechanisms aren’t cutting it. You feel like you’re drowning under the weight of this experience, even on the days you’re managing to function normally. It’s starting to feel like too much to handle alone.
You need someone who understands
There are well-intentioned people in your life saying all the wrong things…and you think you might lose it if one more person gives you unsolicited advice. You need someone with experience and empathy. You need someone you can trust to respond with compassion, not judgment.

Online & In Person Therapy Options
Online
No traffic or parking needed, just some privacy and a decent enough internet connection. Call in as you are! Whatever makes it easiest for you to show up is fine with me and at this point I’ve seen it all. So feed yourself, feed your baby, dress up or dress down. You can call into session between meetings or at the end of a long day. We’ll make every minute count.
In Person
I currently see clients in person at least once weekly, using my Washington, D.C. office in DuPont Circle. Whether you prefer to attend therapy in person, just want a change of scenery, or need an excuse to get away, I’ll be happy to have you. It’s calm, quiet, and close to plenty of cafes for a post-therapy treat. Learn more about my office here.
Support for Everyone
I named my practice HLP Therapy & Support because while everyone needs support, not everyone is ready for therapy. Both are important. I want to make sure to connect my community with forms of support that are easy to access, wherever you are and whatever you need.
